What is the depth of a federal employee background check?

May 11th, 2012

I’m currently in a bit of a sticky situation involving my ex-girlfriend (we’re broken up due to family reasons, but would like to still be able to get a relationship back together, hense my research into this topic).

Basically, her father is an employee of the federal prison system. He currently serves as a guard for one of the prisons in the state of Ohio. From what I’ve been told, federal employees go through a background check that is done yearly. She is paranoid that, if emotionally attached to me and something were to go wrong with my family (I live around some “shady” members), that it would fall back on her, and eventually her father.

My question is: what is the depth of the background check? What all is looked into? Does she have anything to legitimately worry about? (Mind you, I don’t plan on getting into any kind of trouble, I would just like to help calm her down about this situation so that we can better work things out. )

Criminal or Background Check?

March 2nd, 2012

My mother recently started dating/living with someone. The whole situation with him is so suspicious that I’m worried. He recently got arrested for something that he supposedly went to jail for in Florida a few months ago. Since he wouldn’t be arrested for the same thing twice, I really want to know what is going on and if there are other crimes that he’s committed. Is there any way that I can do this without having to pay a website for a background check? Any help would be appreciated, thanks so much!

I live in Indiana and he now lives in Ohio if that helps.

Anyone have information on how to get a backgroudn check from Cuyahoga County, OHIO?

January 20th, 2012

My friend is trying to get a copy of background records from ohio and it seems as if every county but the one we are looking for has their records online and easily accessible. When we found the few records we could for that area this persons information was not included on the list. We know there is prior information and need it so some things can be cleared up but cannot get info anywhere. Can anyone advise on this situation? We are trying to do it without using an attorney.
